Giving Tuesday is a global movement that was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round event that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
This year, we invite you to make a difference by contributing to the CIP/ICU Planning Student Trust Fund (CIP-PSTF) to help shape a brighter tomorrow for communities across Canada.
“This financial support provides invaluable relief, enabling me to continue advancing my work in empowering underrepresented communities and helping Indigenous communities thrive for generations to come."
Jayden Cote, SOAR Professional Services Indigenous Student Bursary
CIP-PSTF stands as the cornerstone of the Canadian planning profession’s commitment to the future. Since 1989, thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors and the hard work of our dedicated volunteers, CIP-PSTF has made a lasting impact by:
Providing over 170 scholarships and bursaries
Awarding nearly $600,000 in scholarship and bursary funding
However, donations that support our programs have declined year after year, putting the future of multiple scholarships and bursaries at risk. This is why we need YOUR support now.
“Receiving this bursary means a great deal to me, acknowledging my journey as a first-generation university student and woman of colour in urban planning.”
Zoya Hussain, CIP Diversity Impact Bursary
Ways you can help:
One-time Donation: A single contribution, no matter the size, will have an immediate impact on our programs and help us maintain the scholarships and bursaries we offer.
Monthly Donations: By becoming a monthly donor, you will provide a predictable stream of support that enables us to plan strategically for the future. This ongoing commitment helps us consistently fund scholarships and bursaries, providing students with the hope they need to pursue their dreams.
Sponsorship Opportunities: Demonstrate your organization’s commitment to the planning profession and support for those in need by sponsoring a new scholarship or bursary. Your sponsorship can play a crucial role in enabling individuals to pursue their education and develop the necessary skills to meaningfully contribute to the planning field as well as the future of our communities.
“Receiving this bursary ensures that I can dedicate more time to volunteer and serve my community to create positive change while assisting me in covering my education expenses.”
Mon Rosete, Ages Foundation Diversity Impact Bursary
Your generosity has the power to uplift aspiring planners, enrich communities, and create opportunities that last a lifetime.
